Iran Update
As war looms and events unfold in the Middle East, join us on Martin Luther King Jr Day to discuss prospects for war and peace in the region. Weâve assembled a panel of Chicago-based economists, commentators, and social scientists for a very special beyond-the beltway analysis of the current crisis in Iran.
Economist Karim Pakravan, a native of Iran, will lead a discussion with key experts to do a deep dive into events on the ground in Iran, what US involvement in the conflict entails, and what political changes in Iran could mean for the global economy and energy markets. Will meaningful regime change actually take place?
